A while back, the boys were invited to a birthday party at the roller rink.
Their first skating experience!
As we could have predicted, Connor was more timid and cautious and Keegan just rolled away until he got bored.
Connor quickly grew in confidence...until a teenager skating backwards fell on top of him. That was, understandably, the end of his first roller derby.
It was a fun nostalgic morning for Alan and I. I don't know if my mom could count the number of times she took my friends and I to Great Skate when I was little. And in the last couple of decades, roller rinks haven't changed...at all!
