Where Did January Go?

Oh my! WHERE did January go? They say that parents are in survival mode in the baby/toddler years, so we've been in survival mode for over half a decade and boy am I exhausted! If you read my last post, you know that we had the pleasure of seeing old friends for a week recently. It was SO refreshing. Not only to spend time with them, play, go on outings, have a break from our regular weekly routine, but because for me, it was a relief to have some time with a girlfriend who knew me pre-Zoë.

Having one child makes you a bit brainless, having two even more so, having three... The last two years of very little sleep have seemingly changed who I am by killing off most of my brain cells. Time with Jana was renewing. It made me realize that I am not totally crazy...I am completely exhausted. Thank you, sweet friend for a refreshing week!

In feeling swamped by normal life and slowed down by the lack of sleep, I am aware that blogging has been inconsistent. Finally, we have a baby that sleeps *better* through the night and I feel the new-old me coming out. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Will blog posts happen more frequently...maybe not. But thanks for checking in, anyhow. :)

(Not to be misunderstood, I LOVE YOU, Zoë Kate! I LOVE having 3 kids! We'd love the blessing of more. The lack of sleep is totally worth it. So is the loss of brain cells. I do not mean to sound like I am complaining. "Do everything without...complaining..." Just wanting to be real. I would never want to give the impression that we have it all together around here. We get through each day depending on God's strength and grace!)

SERIOUSLY!!!!! And I only have two, so far! I always think it's just me...it seems like other people are working at full brain capacity.

Nice to know that you, Kelly, are also...NOT. I love you!
