Hospital Life, Day 6 - Jail Break!!!

Connor made parole!!! They cut off his low-jack (no joke) and let us escape!!!

Yesterday, they were supposed to do his blood work, but they goofed up and forgot. His numbers yesterday would not have been good enough to go home with and his labs were on an everyday schedule, hence the forecast Monday departure.

Since they ended up doing labs this morning and our home care was arranged, they set us free this afternoon! PRAISE GOD!!! His body is fighting and healing so well!

Goodbye room 234!All the cards and balloons that made our walls more cheerful. Connor knew who had made each card and they were very special to him.
After his last "torture" session, he was really shut down and ready to escape!
On the outside! Bye, bye NCBH!
Our home care began immediately when we arrived home. We were taught how administer his meds and I've got his schedule worked out. It's a lot to keep up with, but it'll be easier each day as we get into the groove of it. The real prayer request for the next 9 days is that we can keep his picc line area dry. If we don't, it'll require a dressing change and it took 5 people and a specialized picc line nurse to do it today. That was the last "torture" and it was ugly. We don't want to deal with that! We'll continue to keep you posted. Again, thank you for your prayers! It's been so amazing to see them answered every day!!!

Do you think you will make MOPS now with Connor at home, cause I can swing by the disc of your pictures if you want.
