We're on day 3 of hospital life and things have really perked up! After quarantine ended last night, we had two sweet visitors, then this morning, we received more visitors bearing gifts and food and abundant blessings! THANK YOU, sweet, sweet friends!
The day began and Connor had his usual x-rays, followed by the installation of his Picc Line. Things went well with the procedure and the sedation just gave him more rest which was very needed. His breathing is much better today, as is his appetite and attitude. Your prayers are being answered right before our eyes! The only bummer of the day was that we have added breathing treatments to the routine. Connor's really fighting them, but hopefully he'll get used to them and relax.
Accomplishments today have included a sponge bath, change of pajamas, eating a whole snack bag of potato chips, drinking more fluids, playing with toys and finally smiling.
Here's Super-Daddy trying to catch a quick nap.
Sleepy and grumpy Connor, still out from the sedation.
Our visitors this morning who blessed us with food and gifts.
Connor, still a little crabby, but out of bed and clean from his "bath."
A whole new Connor, playing happily with toys that the Child Life Specialist brought by.
And the icing on the cake, Grandma Margy flew in this morning to be our "Keegan Keeper" for the weekend and that is a blessing too!

So glad he's better!! We've been praying. Poor little guy looks pitiful!
It's so good to see Connor playing today. We missed you all at OCF and pray that Connor will be comfortable and receptive to the doctors. Love to you all from the Rills.
When we first had to give Mikey breathing treatments he would scream the entire time. I felt so bad for him, but the doctor or nurse or respitory therapist (can't remember which) said it was actually good because when he screamed his lungs were more open and the meds reached farther into the depths of his lungs. It's still no fun to fight them, though. :-(
