As reported yesterday, Connor has been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. More specifically, Strep Pneumonia. That means that he is on two different IV antibiotics and we're making this hospital room our new home for 5 or more days. After we get released, he'll still need home care and IV antibiotics for a couple weeks and oral antibiotics for a couple weeks after that. (Don't even ask me how that will work with our move!) Seriously, the kid just had a fever for a few days, but here we are! It goes to show how much we can't control, how little we know and how precious life is! Praise our Creator for making and knowing our bodies so well and for creating doctors and medicine!
-For Connor to become more compliant with the staff, the procedures, the poking and proding, etc. He's been pretty beastly!
-For God's perfect timing with our move dates and Connor's continued treatments (We are scheduled to leave for FL exactly two weeks from tomorrow. This definitely complicates things!)
-For the procedure tomorrow when they sedate Connor and install a pic line (permanent IV line).
-For our insurance to approve the home care.
-For sleep!
-For Keegan to be his usual easy-going self as he gets bounced around to family and friends.
-For us to trust in God's plans and exemplify Christ to those around us here.
It's been a long and interesting day. Connor has perked up a little bit and managed to eat some mini teddy grahams and drink a little bit of water and milk. Unfortunately, his original IV line had to come out because his right hand had blown up like a puffer fish. It took two attempts, four nurses and one mommy to get a new one in, so he's not using either arm right now. He's currently lying here watching Curious George and Veggie Tales DVDs and we have to hand feed him. Tomorrow morning, they will sedate him and install a Pic Line. It's a port/permanent IV line, so he'll have more mobility and they can do all his meds and labs through the line. No more poking and prodding, hopefully.
Specific prayers:
Thanks so much for all your prayers, love and support!

We'll be praying for you guys! That's pretty rough. Can't they push back the move dates due to family emergency?
Your family is in our prayers for sure. You're handling this like a champ!
