Today was our first trip to the beach. It took a while to get four adults and eight kids dressed, sunscreened and out the door, but we did and enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours playing in the sand and the sun. We took off just as the rain drops started to fall.
Connor has been to the beach one other time, but this was Keegan's first experience. Keegan wasn't really too thrilled with the water. He pooped out after a bit and settled sleepily onto Daddy's towel. The time change is still a factor, though all in all, they have adjusted well to the 4 hour difference.
On our travel day, we woke up at 3:30am Texas time and Connor and Keegan stayed awake ALL day (short catnaps only) until 9:30-10pm-ish Hawaii time. The poor kids had managed to stay awake for almost 24 hours! We thought they'd really crash hard when we landed here and it was bedtime back home, but we headed off to OCF on Hickam AFB (fun time meeting another B-52 fam and old friends from church in SA) and our little extroverts recharged their batteries playing with all the kids during study.
