Yesterday was our day to honor the lives of those lost in battle. Alan's one request regarding this trip was to visit the Arizona Memorial. We also went to the USS Missouri and I am so glad I am not in the Navy. I have new respect for those who live on boats for lengthy periods of time!
Last night we hit a major milestone. Connor attended AWANA for the first time. At our church in TX, you had to turn 3 by September 1st in order to start Cubbies, but here in HI the date was December 1st. So, Connor got to be a guest at the Wamhoffs church and go with the big kids. When we picked him up, he exclaimed, "I had fun!" Our baby is big enough for AWANA!!!! (sniff.)
