Home is Where the Air Force Sends Us

Home is Where the Air Force Sends Us...
can be a bit difficult to swallow sometimes.  Especially when you didn't really want to have to make a new home somewhere. Or when you are technically "homeless" for a season.  Both would be our case at the moment.

We were definitely NOT ready to leave Florida!  We have precious, sweet friends-like-family there and our time with them was all too short!  I also wasn't entirely prepared to come back to the very chilly, very small town life in Almost Canada.

Thankfully, what makes Almost Canada so great is the people here, too.  We are so thankful and blessed that friends-like-family are here too and they are making this transition SO much easier!

Today, in what is a complete answer to prayer and a small miracle, we were projected into the house next door to our friend's house!  THANK YOU, LORD!  We don't have the keys yet, so we weren't able to move in right away and we watched the big truck off-load our stuff into storage today.  I will have to fly back up in about a month to get the keys and sign for the house as soon as housing releases it.  By the end of the week, we'll be winging our way back down to the South for the summer while Alan re-quals in the jet.  Stay tuned for all our upcoming travels and adventures!

Taking a Chick-Fil-A break on the road: 3 days, 33 hours, 10 states, 1 time zone that we just can't seem to escape!
Our quick pit stop in Texas to drop off a car and catch some ZZzzzz while G&G got a morning with the kiddos.
Life in the TLF (temporary living facility) here.  Cuddled up to watch a movie before bed because our kids' time clocks are SO off.  It doesn't get dark here until after 10pm and we've been up late every night.
Oh, and by the way, it's June 7th - SUMMER - and today it was in the 40s.  BRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr!  Yes, we are back in Almost Canada!
