18 Months

Yes, this post is a few weeks delayed, but better late than never.  She is still 18 months.

Her chair photo:

Zoë Kate's current stats and accomplishments:
  • She is in the 80th percentile for height and 50th for weight.  Tall and skinny like her Daddy.
  • She is a really good communicator.  She understands us and follows directions well.  Her verbal vocabulary has exploded and she tries to say all kinds of words.  Food related words make up the majority of her vocabulary, no surprise.   Girlfriend likes to eat.
  • Speaking of, she STILL out-eats her brothers at pretty much every meal.
  • She feeds herself completely and does it fairly neatly.
  • She can go up and down stairs alone.  Makes me thankful for a one-story house right now.
  • She threw away her pacifiers after I snipped them.  WooHoo!
  • She is STILL not a sleeper.  I am too tired to say anymore about that.
  • She can help get herself dressed.
  • She is potty training herself.  (Yes, you read that correctly.)  Girlfriend also decided that she wanted to use the potty a couple months ago and is quick to ask for a change when soiled or wet.  She is even telling us when she needs to go ahead of time, sometimes.  We are thankful and thrilled over this, but the move and DAYS in the car make us hesitant to get her out of diapers just yet.
  • She was recently diagnosed with a congenital birth defect: Duane's Syndrome, Type 1.  (See a couple posts back.)
Also, she is quite possessive of Mommy's lap which we hope changes before January when her Baby Sister/Brother arrives.
