Getaway!

In addition to my boy's masterpieces, I received the BEST mother's day gift ever!  My own mama came into town to keep the kiddos so Alan and I could GETAWAY!  I have not had a night away from my kids (though I love them DEARLY) in YEARS.  This was Alan's and my first vacation getaway for just the two of us since the kids were born.

We sat for two days and looked at this:

I read an entire 230 page book, cover to cover in less than two days and enjoyed the solitude and silence.  It was delightful!  In the midst of raising 3 littles, being a military wife about to move again in a couple weeks and overcoming some big stressors recently, it was just what I needed to recharge!  THANK YOU, Alan! (And Mom, for watching the kids!)
