USO Show

We spent Sunday afternoon with Rosita, ZOE, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Grover.
The Sesame Street USO tour came to the base, so Mom and I took the kids to see it Sunday afternoon while Alan enjoyed more of the World Cup with a friend. Sesame Street is not one of the shows that we watch, but the boys recognized Elmo and Cookie Monster. Connor kept calling it the "Elmo's World" show, which impressed me because that's a segment of the TV show, but the fact he remembered it was impressive. He's maybe watched the show a dozen times, none of them in the last year.
The show was free and they gave the kids light-up spin toys, to boot. The boys didn't pick up on it but the story line of the show had to do with coping with the sadness of Daddy being deployed. It was really cute!
