Just about 30 minutes from our house is a blueberry patch where you can pick your own berries and pay $1...ONE dollar...per pound. And you pay on the honor system with cash or checks in a mailbox! It rocked!
We met several of our friends from MOPS at the patch to pick together.
The boys actually did really well picking only the dark blue ones and their height made them excellent spotters for the berries on the underside of the bushes! Connor was a picking machine!
We told him that he had to wait until we'd weighed, paid and washed the berries, but Keegan kept asking, "Can I eat this one?" And he did wait, but he was ready to eat when we got home.
Playing on the giant tree swing.
Sitting under the berry-carriers with Grandma. They had cut milk jugs and tied strips of cloth onto them so you could tie the jug around your waist for easy collection while picking. It was a very smart system!
We managed to wrangle 6 of the 7 little boys who were there so we could get a picture.
When we got all the berries washed, they filled my LARGE colander.
And Keegan dug in!
