It's Birthday Weekend

Grandpa and Grandma Rohrer came to celebrate Keegan's birthday with us and to meet Zoë Kate. We were all thrilled to see them and it's a big help to have 4 extra hands around the house. They watched the boys the night they arrived so Alan and I could go to a special OCF function. Then the next morning, they kept them again while we visited their (hopefully) new school for the fall and went to the car dealership.
After we wrapped up all our errands of running around, they took us out to dinner to celebrate the new minivan. At the restaurant, they brought Keegan a huge, yummy brownie with ice cream and sang "Happy Birthday," to him.
Saturday morning, we were supposed to have a party with friends at the park, but this unseasonably cold weather and rain forced us to move the party to our house. Even with 8 little boys, 1 girl and 1 baby, it wasn't too chaotic and we had a good time. All the Daddy's, hanging in the kitchen during the party.
Zoë wore her cute cupcake outfit for the party, so I couldn't resist a picture!
We decided to go ahead and do all the birthday presents on Saturday so Grandpa and Grandma could enjoy him playing with the new toys and learning to ride his bike.

He was so excited to get his Buzz Lightyear bike and he wore his helmet around the house.
Then Daddy took him out for his first ride.
For his actual birthday, Daddy made pancakes for breakfast and for lunch we went to Keegan's favorite restaurant, Chick-Fil-A.
It was a good, long birthday weekend!

He looks so cute riding his big boy bike although I can't believe he's already big enough to ride it! I hate how fast the years go by even though it's also fun to see them grow. Happy Birthday to Keegan!

Our boys loved looking at photos of Keegan's b'day! Nathan got a bike for his b'day too. :) We're hoping when he learns to ride that Ethan will finally show some interest.
