It was awesome that the 14th fell on a Sunday this year! It should always be on a Sunday so we can go to church and celebrate He who is Love and the reason we love. It is hardly a "hallmark" holiday. In fact, no hallmark cards were even purchased in this household. There were no flowers or chocolates, though there were thoughtful, fun presents. I love Valentine's Day and I love teaching the boys about God's love for us and how we need to love one another!
Valentine's Day was more like Valentine's week with cards coming in the mail from friends and family and parties at MDO, AWANA and home. On the 14th, though, we have the tradition of eating "pink dinner." This year we did pink pancakes since they are one of the boys' favorite foods.

Looks like fun! We had pink, heart-shaped pancakes. However, the boys hardly seemed to notice. Silly boys.
