Miss Zoë Kate is 2 weeks old today!
My friend, Kellie takes pictures of her kiddos in their armchair each month to show their growth, so I decided to copy her good idea and do it with Zoë. I know it won't be long before she's sitting up on her own in the chair.
Zoë's a little female version of her brothers. One of the gals at church said just tonight, "It's Keegan with a bow on!" She's probably over 9 pounds now, eating well, and she's strong! She can lift her head no problem when you lay her on her back or her tummy. Now if only she could sleep through the night!
Connor is especially smitten. He randomly informs me, "Aw, she's so cute, Mom," or "I love Baby Zoë!" He asks to hold her several times a day, but it never lasts long and he moves on. He did try to toss her on the floor once when she spit up on him, exclaiming, "Ew, gross!" Daddy was right there to save her, though.
Keegan asks to hold her occasionally, but he demonstrates his affection for her with lots of kisses each day. When I am sitting, holding her somewhere, he'll come by and point to her forehead and ask, "Give Baby Zoë a kiss?" (It's good he asks permission! And his pronunciation of her name is improving, but it still sounds like, "Joey," a lot. We're working on that "Z" sound.)
