Moving Madness, Part 6/Connor Update

Another combo post here...it's too busy and chaotic to write multiple posts. In fact, I am going to give you a rundown of our current status in bullet form. (Though I am very much enjoying a few minutes with my swollen feet in the air.)

  • Packers are here and they ROCK!!!! Military moves are usually contracted to the lowest and laziest. I could say worse, but telling you that one move, countless boxes were labeled: WHAT KNOTS. Really, K-N-O-T-S. And that vivid description really helped us out as we tried to find things. Seriously, our whole house is being packed out today. These ladies are packing superstars.
  • We will take some credit for the packers success. We were up until 1:30am organizing, rubbermaid-ing, labeling rooms and making it super easy for them. We baggie drawers and get it all in order to make it easier on them and us.
  • We give Grandma Hart lots of kudos for the success because if she hadn't flown in yesterday to help us, we would not have slept at all!
  • We still have lots on our to-do list, but it's getting shorter. Praise God!!!
  • Connor saw the pediatric pulmonologist today and it was a fantastic visit all around. He's been so emotional since the hospital and I was worried that seeing more medical staff would unglue him. However, he was a total trooper. He has healed so quickly that they pulled his picc line and we're officially drug-free! The original estimate at the hospital was 3 weeks of IV drugs, followed by 10 days of oral antibiotics. Connor had just 15 days of IV antibiotics and he's done. We will follow up in Pensacola in 3 weeks, but he should just continue to heal! Thanks for your prayers!!!
