We have conceded the battle for the health of our child. At the 76 hour mark, upon the kind advice of both nurse and doctor friends, we offered Connor food and drink that he was sure to gobble up. He'd dug his feet in so deep that he was actually hurting his body and that child would have likely willed himself right into the hospital, which is the last thing we want! The whole reason we were standing our ground and repeatedly offering the same meal was to help him try something new so he'll be a happy, healthy, nutritious eater...I guess it'll be awhile before that happens. Thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement!

Hopefully this will give you a little encouragement that Connor will someday eat different foods. Ben isn't a big fan of new foods, either - in reality the only meat he eats is chicken nugget. However, last week he willingly, and on his own, tried celery, and said he liked it. He then told me that he may even eat it again when he's 5 :-)
So proud of you, Kel! It's okay. I mean, I suppose it won't be the WORST thing if he is a 30yr. old who only eats white toast and apples!
It's sometimes hard to choose our battles with our kids! Lisa usually prepares a meal and we all can simply choose to sit there and eat it or nothing. So far, we haven't had to face the issue of multiple missed meals. They're usually hungry enough to eat the next meal placed before them!
