Blooming Where Planted...

...Even When the Growing Season is Short.

Just when I am feeling like my soil is all dried up and my pot is getting cracked from this crazy move process, God provides water and little miracle grow to revive me!

For the past 5 weeks, we have been nomads, traveling across the country...getting checked-in up north, seeing family out west, visiting family in the middle and finally, joining Daddy in Louisiana this week.  It has been a bit rough being in transition for such a long time.

Usually when we move, we pack up and drive to our new home where we settle in and start our new life right away.  This time we don't have that luxury.  Since Alan has been flying other planes for the past 4 years, he has to re-qual (take a refresher course) in the B-52.  Therefore, we are "TDY en route" or "stuck in the middle for a few months."

So we are trying to bloom where planted.  Even though our growing season here is only 7 weeks.  I have signed the boys up for swim lessons, joined a Bible study and am reconnecting with old friends.  (That is the best part about military moves - you often run into familiar faces.)  God is always faithful to provide!

Here are some pictures of our fellowship time after Bible study.  We went to lunch and played at the science center downtown.  The kids loved it!  And another blessing, it is free to military families all summer long!
