"He is not here, for He is Risen!"
I love Easter! We have staked our lives on the empty tomb. A resurrected Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith!
We started our day worshipping our living God and enjoying his creation at a sunrise service on the beach. (Oh how I am going to miss Florida!) There are no words to describe the beauty of a big orange sun rising over a mound of white sand speckled with sea oats and the crystal blue waters of the gulf of Mexico! I can look at just about anything and see God's hand, but there are some things that really scream, "Creation!!!"
After church, we came home and opened the oven to enjoy our empty tomb cookies. Then we gave the kids their Easter baskets filled with goodies from Grandpas and Grandmas. We shared a big, yummy meal with friends, had an egg hunt, then went to dessert at another friend's house and had another egg hunt!
BOTH Connor and Keegan found empty eggs at the hunts and it blessed our hearts to hear them say, "I found an empty egg! The tomb is empty! Jesus is risen!" Oh Lord, that they would hold fast to that truth and have a relationship with you all the days of their lives!
