Zoë Kate is ONE year old today!
It's amazing how fast an entire year can fly by!
We started the day with the traditional birthday, pancake breakfast.
After naps, we opened presents.
She wasn't much for tearing the paper at first, but when we got to the last present, her pink cupcake helmet, she timidly took the tissue out of the bag all by herself.
Then the boys wheeled in the grand finale gift...her tricycle!
Here's her latest stats and accomplishments:
- She's WALKING! She takes a few steps, then decides crawling is faster...but that will change soon.
- She weighs almost 20 pounds.
- She babbles up a storm and tries really hard to copy words. She says, "no, dis, dat, moh, mama, dada (no, this, that, more, mom, dad) and she signs, "all done" and shakes her head "no" when she's finished eating, done with an activity or doesn't want something being offered.
- She still struggles to sleep through the night. When she's a teenager, I am sure she'll no longer suffer from such insomnia.
- She has 7 teeth.
- She loves to play cars with her brothers. Offer her a baby toy or something girly, she'll tell you, "all done," meaning, "no thanks." Then she'll pick up a car.
- She is Connor's biggest fan! No one can make her laugh the way he can.
- Need a hug? She'll give you one. She doesn't know a stranger!
Zoë Kate, we are so blessed and privileged to raise you as our daughter! It is so much fun to have a splash of pink in our house and we look forward to watching you grow into the woman God has created you to be!
