I have to praise Connor because he is doing awesome at school. He does fabulous on his worksheets and homework and most days he has a "happy heart," as we say. All our doubts about putting him in Pre-K have vanished. He is really thriving as he is pushed out of his comfort zone with several things and we l-o-v-e his teachers.
All that said, he is still a toddler and he has some "off" days. (I'm an adult and so do I! We are all sinners.) At school they use a behavior system that mimics a stoplight. The aim is to have green lights every day, of course, but we did have one red light so far...

Allow me to translate:
Dear Ms. Heather and Ms. Sue, Please forgive me for being disobedient and disrespectful. Love, Connor
Ephesians 6:5 Obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
I don't post this to embarrass him for his mistakes, but to show off his cute handwriting and his repentant heart. He really was sorry and while I am sure he may have another red light one day, he is trying so hard to do what is right and what glorifies God. My sweet, but tests-every-boundary-toddler is turning into a mature little boy. We'll blink and he'll be a young man...then we'll blink again...

That is adorable. Maybe I should let you raise my kid...
