Happy Resurrection Day

[The angels] said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how he spoke to you in Galilee saying,'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and the third day RISE again.'" Luke 24:5-7

I have to say, one thing about living in the South...no preacher preaches like a Southern Baptist preacher on Resurrection Sunday! P-A-S-S-I-O-N! Both church services were filled with God's awesome truth this morning.

We started our day bright and early with a sunrise service on the beach. (L-o-v-e living in FL!) Afterward, we darted home and hosted a pancake breakfast for some friends and neighbors from our Sunday school class. Then we headed back to church for regular service, followed by a potluck luncheon with several AF/church friends and another egg hunt. This evening the boys finally opened their giant eggs and Easter baskets. It was a wonderful family day celebrating God's love for us!

Ready for sunrise service.

Egg hunt #2 of the day. Connor is so good at hunting eggs he's now one of the kids who has to be given a maximum quota. As one mom said this morning, it's egg hunt socialism. He doesn't like the candy, but he loves the thrill of the hunt, so he was a bit dejected about having to quit.
Opening their baskets and eggs.

And there is something so fun about a basket full of colorful Easter eggs.

The looks on Zoe's face, watching the boys' baskets and looking at the eggs, she's just adorable! Looks like a wonderful Easter!

Adorable pictures! Your boys must be expert egg hunters after all of those hunts. I'd love a sunrise service on the beach. Or the beach in general. Glad to hear you all had a fun Easter.
