Zoë is 4 Months

Miss Zoë Kate is 4 months old today! She is our one and only chunky monkey, outweighing her brothers (compared to their 4 mos. weights) by more than a pound!

Things she has added to her list of accomplishments:
  • Grabbing toys and putting them in her mouth
  • Making lots more noise - coos and shrieks, mostly
  • She's moved out of the pack-n-play and into her crib in her room
Just in the last two weeks it seems like her disposition has improved. She's much more content to play on her own for short amounts of time. We are no where near sleeping through the night, as she loves to nurse every 3 hours round the clock still, but that's why she's our chunk-a-monk.

She LOVES to smile!

She's very fashion-forward and chic.

A sample of her shrieking. She was so delighted to see Daddy after work today and talk his ear off!

You may have noticed, we are now writing Zoë with the umlaut. We like the traditional Greek spelling and do not want to add a "y" to the end of her name, but we are also tired of strangers calling her "Zoh." It's one thing to shorten her name but when they see her name in writing and think Zoe rhymes with Joe, we have a problem. It's bothered us so much we are looking into legally adding the umlaut on her birth certificate and SSN card (read:paperwork nightmare).

She's a doll! It's too bad that strangers can't figure out how to say her name. It makes perfect sense to me and how I'd spell it if I had a girl and wanted to name her Zoe.
