For those of you who have been following our moving madness, I will begin by announcing that we are NOT doing a full dity move. We have packers and a truck scheduled for September. As always, we're going to do a partial dity, but it will not be anything huge or unmanageable. The craziness of the moving truck will be our chasing it to FL in order to do a door-to-door move. We have signed a lease and have a house waiting for us there. Praise God for one more box checked off!
The current craziness and chaos of our house is the house itself. This is the first move where we can't just pack up and leave. We own a house. We have to rent the house. We have to finish all the house projects in order to leave the house and hopefully never return before we sell it however many years down the road. I keep saying, "we," but I really mean Alan and his dad.
This weekend we were blessed to have Alan's parents down from Dallas to help us prep the house. My father-in-law deserves the handyman of the year award for all the work he did around the here and Alan, too! As I type, Alan is finishing laying the tile in our master bathroom and I will be thrilled when I can stop living in this disaster zone we call our bedroom.
