Alan has new eyes! He has been wanting lasik or PRK surgery for who-knows-how-long and finally, he got it done yesterday. He had to have PRK on both eyes, so the initial healing process is tougher, but in the long run, it's better. His vision had gotten so bad that he couldn't even read the BIGGEST letter on the eye chart with his left eye. This morning, his vision was 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other. Hopefully, his left eye will continue to improve. For now, he has to keep his eyes shut anyhow. No reading, no tv, no computer for the week.

WOW! I hope that it is just what he wants! Sounds great so far.
I have always wanted to get that done. Good for him!! I hope the healing goes well.
I had PRK done on both eyes 2 1/2 years ago and it was (and still is) the BEST gift! Michael actually "gave" the procedure to me as a Christmas present and it honestly is the gift that keeps on giving. :) I hope Alan is as happy with his "new eyes" as I am with mine!
