Moving Madness Continues

Another praise to add to our list - we think we have a house in FL!
We haven't signed the contract yet, so pray nothing happens before we do.

Unfortunately, we're downsizing in house, but we're upsizing in terms of neighborhood. The community pool is open year round and is only 6 houses down. Our two little fish (who wrapped up swim lessons today) are going to love that. Plus, Alan's commute to work will consist of less than 10 minutes on a bicycle. Or he can run. AWESOME!

The madness ensues when I tell you that we are actually considering a full DITY move. That is the military acronym for "do-it-yourself." Why on earth would we DITY move our whole house when we are leaving TX in 6 weeks and having a baby in 13?! Call it peer pressure. Plus, it's financially adventageous. I've already lost most of my mind, I think, so why not?! I'll post more on that madness later.

Oh Kelly, I wish I could shake you right now! I know you're trying to be financially responsible, but there is no amount of money worth moving yourself in two very hot climates with 2 rambunctious boys and a big belly. In my opinion. It is a benefit of the military move.
Don't do it!! Let someone else do it for you!!
The house looks beautiful though!

I agree with Kellie. I know the money people say they make doing it sounds great, but it's WORK and well worth having someone else do it. If someone else does it, you can go hang out at a pool with the boys and Alan supervises. :-)

We did a full dity on the move here and it wasn't terrible at all. It wasn't easy, but I with help of the Mia's (Agner) Moving Method, family & friends and the fact that I am super organized - it was doable. Very doable.

I think I would even do one again...

Yay! Moving is so much fun...not! But I'm sure you guys are experts by now. We've moved like 7 times since we got married but after the 3rd one we just started unpacking half our stuff and leaving the rest in boxes. :) Sounds like either way, you've got your work cut out for you! Just don't put yourself into labor prematurely. Hope you have lots of help. You're house in FL looks so pretty.

I can understand the idea of a DTY -- BUT NOT WHEN YOU ARE PREGNANT!

I think we're going to do at least a partial DTY next time...especially since we finally bought nice furniture...but I'm not PG, either.

House looks beautiful!
