I was chopping carrots for dinner the other night and the toddlers were getting squirrelly, so I decided to send them outside to play. Had you been in our kitchen, you would have heard the following conversation:
"Connor, you have to go potty before you go outside to play."
"NO."
"Connor, you may not tell me, 'No.' Go potty."
"I don't want to go potty."
"You can either go potty or you can eat a carrot."
"Uhhhh....I will go potty."
Our last two days in Hawaii, the diaper supply was running quite low, but there were plenty of pull-ups, so we told Connor he'd have to wear them. Something about the tropical atmosphere must have relaxed him into compliance...there's been no turning back...he's staying DRY all DAY and NIGHT with the exception of solids!!! We are so proud of him!!!!!!! While pull-ups aren't cheap, we're only using a couple a day, so we're excited to see the change in our budget. For two years exactly, we've had two in diapers. Sheesh!
Way to go, Connor!!!

wow! way to go, Connor! What a nice gift to mommy and daddy to save money on diapers :) I'm REALLY looking forward to that change, too.
That's funny! He'd rather do pretty much anything than eat a carrot, huh? I think we will have someone in diapers forever...at least it feels that way!
