December has rolled in and it's been a whirlwind around here! It's the season of busyness for sure, yet I was feeling really good until this week.
We have been sick since the first week of November, no joke, but before November 30th, I'd ordered all our Christmas cards and addressed them, we put up the tree and I got almost all the presents wrapped...then December happened...

In the video below, the boys were wrapping up November with a little fun ...
I'd set the camera down, Daddy joined in on the fun, then suddenly Keegan came running to the pillow pile with a toy airplane in hand...out of my mouth, the words spouted, "Don't run and jump with toys! You'll get hurt!"
KABOOM!
Alan shouts, "Blood, blood!!!" And he scooped Keegan off the floor, sparing the white carpeting (*sigh*- My Hero!)
Keegan and I spent the rest of the afternoon at the ER getting the hole in his head glued shut...
That was Sunday and December burst onto the scene with a flurry of activities...we were out and about every single day and every single evening! Craziness!
We've had lots of fun, though. One morning, we went to Alan's squadron and made a gingerbread house. Connor was really into it this year and Keegan enjoyed tasting whatever Connor put on the house.
In an effort to keep the season focused on Christ, since he's the whole reason for the season, we started our advent calendars and the boys opened up their first gifts. We got them the book and nativity set by Family Life, "What God Wants for Christmas." They were beyond delighted!
After reading each day's story and opening the day's box with the nativity character, the boys sit with Daddy for the complete Bible reading that applied to the Bible character of the night. (Already, Gabriel the angel has been decapitated and Mary injured, but that's what super glue is for.)
It's going to be a busy couple weeks leading up to Christmas, but in spite of being sick still, having yet to mail the wrapped gifts or write the letter to accompany the Christmas cards, and having an insane schedule, we're really delighting in the boys' excitement about Jesus' birthday and all that the next few weeks have to offer!

Ahhh, life with boys, love it, love it! What a neat tradition that is, we just opened up our Little People Nativity set with the boys tonight, they have been walking around the house saying "Baby Jesus" all day now! Give those boys hugs for us!
*sigh* boys. :-) Happy Advent!
So sorry you are still sick!! Love you!
Where did that chair come from?
