Daddy is Home!!!

Finally, after much craziness, an unexpected extra day in Germany, and delays in Houston, Alan is home! The boys and I were extremely disappointed when we came home from church yesterday and found Daddy's message on the machine, explaining that due to an airline snafu, he and another guy, Tripp, had missed their connecting flight in Frankfurt and would not be coming home Sunday night. The airline put them up in a hotel, fed them, paid them and Alan got to chat it up with some of our good friends who are stationed in Germany, so it was fine, but now he is home - woo hoo!!!

The boys prepared for Daddy's arrival by painting and coloring a Welcome Home sign for Daddy.

I wish I would have had the camera ready to catch Connor's reaction...he saw Alan, took off running, cried out, "Daddy!!!" and jumped into his arms! We're so glad he's home.
