Fairy Godmother, Where Are You?!

So, this is life as a busy Mommy...
My hands were full and busy, so I asked Connor to give Keegan a (meaning ONE) toy because he was crying. (Before taking the picture, I removed the large fire truck that was on top of Keegan's head!)

Connor has been waking up very early in the morning, so out of sheer exhaustion some days we gave him some toys to play with in his crib. Here is how he occupied himself with his flash cards...

Yep, they're all jammed in there. So much for nice, flat flash cards!

I didn't get a picture of how this started, but while making myself a pot of coffee the other morning, Connor helped himself to a bowl of Cheerios...obviously, he didn't get them all in the bowl...and between being tired, busy and lazy, I didn't vacuum them up...so Keegan got breakfast, too!

And since I'm airing out our dirty (actually, it's clean) laundry...this is a picture of the FIVE loads of laundry I did. When I went upstairs to sort it and put it away, Connor asked me to read him a book. Of course, that was a few days ago and it's still there today!

I think the photos can explain why we struggle to post more than once a week. No seriously, I am airing our clean laundry to encourage all my Mommy friends that our houses don't have to be perfect! (Keegan didn't mind the extra attention and toys, Connor's flash cards are meant to be played with and used, Connor made my life a little simpler by feeding both himself and his brother and hey, at least the laundry pile is clean!) I have had wise friends who've said and demonstrated this before, but I am finally learning it and getting a little more comfortable with it. Being a Mommy is hard work and if I haven't told you, Mom, I appreciate you! (And extra kudos to you for ironing! I have a long way to go before I manage that!)

Good for you, Kel!! That picture of your laundry is refreshing - I've never seen such a thing in the Rohrer house!! Now go fold it, I know it's bothering you!
All in love, Kellie
